4Kids Launches New Anime,

4Kids Entertainment, the company that brought Pokemon to America, will launch a new animated series from Japan at NATPE called Kinnikuman. Available for fall 2002, the 52x30 Kinnikuman combines comedy and super hero action. As a baby, the hero and show's namesake, was accidentally displaced as prince of his home planet. Now, to prove himself worthy as heir to the throne of Kinniku, he must compete in the ultimate intergalactic tournaments. As a result, Kinnikuman confronts hundreds of the most diverse and powerful superhero wrestlers that the world has to offer. The series itself launched in Japan over 15 years ago - and the story continues with newly produced episodes from Japan's largest animation studio, Toei.

Just hope they don't hack it to pieces + rewrite it to be horribly westernised... they so will... Still, great news, we finally get to see where our favorite Unusual Creatures emerged from!!! And there's new series being made! I bet 4kids show the really old one though, and constantly scream 'Brand New!!!' like they did with Dragonball Z!! Well, hooray for 80's TV anime!

And of course we live in hope that this will lead to some kind of M.U.S.C.L.E. re-release! I don't see how it can't; a society sick enough to re-market replica He-Man figures for about 20 quid each can't fail to bring such a cult toy as M.U.S.C.L.E. back from the dead!
